Welcome to Acree Technologies!
Technologies for the 21st century. Acree offers a wide variety of products and services to satisfy our customer’s needs. We provide thin film coating services, research & development and equipment design and sales in key technology areas:
Thin Film Coatings
We provide coating services to deposit tribological, wear resistant, erosion resistant, corrosion resistant, decorative and transparent conductive oxide coatings for applications ranging from medical coatings, to aerospace and automobile components, to tools and dies.
Research & Development Services
Acree offers R&D services to develop coating solutions to solve our customer’s problems. We have developed solutions to customer problems ranging from corrosion resistant coatings for biomedical implants to wear resistant coatings for high-speed turbine blades.
Thin Film Characterization
Acree offers material and thin film coating characterization services: Coating thickness, adhesion using sophisticated scratch testers, optical properties, index of refraction, abrasion properties of optical coatings, wear and tribological properties of hard coatings.
Acree has developed plasma sources that are capable of producing high density metal ion plasmas. Application areas are surface modification and ion sources and electron sources for processing of materials.
Acree designs and builds custom thin film coating deposition systems. We also offer specialized power supplies for pulsed cathodic arc and HiPIMS deposition processes.
Low Cost Polymer Matrix Composite Fabrication
Acree has developed a low cost fabrication process for polymer matrix composites that uses electron beam (e-beam) curing instead of the usual autoclave processes. E-beam curing is done at low temperatures, allowing the use of inexpensive foam tools. Acree has also developed the use of z-woven fiber technology to improve the interlaminar shear strength of polymer matrix composites.
Acree has developed a robust and sensitive sulfur compound detector that can be used in reformer gas feed-streams for fuel cells, among other applications. The detector is sensitive in the parts per billion (ppb) range.
