Sensors


Acree offers a number of high sensitivity sensors for various applications. We are also developing additional sensor technologies. Acree offers:

    • Trace Gas Analysis Sensor – These sensors are based on assembly of nanoparticles or patterned deposition of “active” layers on electrodes. Transduction is accomplished through bulk or surface acoustic resonances or changes in impedance. Specific applications include the detection of organosulfides and carbon monoxide.
    • Temperature differential sensors – Based on thermopile designs allows the detection of temperature differences between “active” and passive regions.


Areas of current development work include:

    • Embedded sensors to measure erosion and wear rates for hard coatings.
    • Embedded sensors to measure strain on high speed impellers and blades. These are integral to surface coatings for erosion, corrosion, and/or wear resistance.
